I teach in a Title 1 school where 88% of the students come from low income families. My students come from hard working households that struggle to provide them with opportunities or appropriate support at home due to language barriers. For these reasons, my students highly benefit from tools and resources provided to them at school. It is my upmost responsibility to have tools and resources for my students in order to make their education more successful and meaningful to them. Having a printer in the classroom would make their work more meaningful because I will be able to provide hard copies. Students would be able to take home a hard copy and share their hard work with their families. It will also allow me to print out different visuals such as pictures, anchor charts and more. The majority of my students are visual learners and a color printer will not only provide support for individual needs of my students but for the class as a whole.
