My students so rarely get to explore the arts in their core curriculum. As a private music teacher of 15 years and new elementary school educator, I would love to share my love of music with my students. I feel that music is one of the best ways to learn, whether its math, science, language arts, or history, it supports and engages students. To this day, I still remember "Conjunction Junction" from Schoolhouse Rock. Music truly soothes the soul, makes learning fun, and works across a multitude of curriculum. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of keyboard instruction and music theory. They will obtain basic piano skills that will allow them to play at beginning levels of piano. They will utilize simple chord progressions to allow them to sing and play their hearts out.
