In this ever-changing world, using up-to-date technology in the classroom is essential. In addition the the Chromebooks my students already have, this iPad will help my students learn how to appropriately use an additional type of technology. Because my students have varied ability levels, planning for guided reading is often a daunting task. Through the use of this iPad, I will be able to digitally plan differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all students. With digital lesson plans, I am greatly cutting back on the amount of paper needed for weekly lessons. Having the use of the iPad at my fingertips will also help to streamline instruction and assessment during guided reading. Students will be able to use the iPad for quick fluency checks, formative assessments, and so much more. Through the use of the iPad and the available apps and websites, my students will have an endless amount of information available at their fingertips.
