These materials will enable our students to continue their therapy activities throughout their day. We will use these tools to help develop fine motor, speech, and academic growth. Our therapists use similar activities during their one on one times with our students. By using the same or similar activities throughout the school day, our students will be able to build these skills. Manipulatives are important for our students because they are concrete examples of what we need for them to learn. we facilitate their learning through play, reading, and using their bodies. Giving students a variety of ways to get tot he same goal, also helps them make choices about how they will learn each skill. Students goals and objectives encourage growth and development in multiple areas and build on skills they already have.
