Right now the students are using typical classroom four leg chairs. If they had stools instead of chairs they would spend less time moving their seats around, we won't need to spend time pushing the chairs back in, and they will always have the option to stand up. Having stools will also make table rotations much smoother. No more sliding chairs in and out of the tables, no more students tripping over chairs that didn't get tucked in. Having stools in the science lab will make the students' experience more memorable and authentic. If the students truly feel as if they are in a science laboratory, they will treat it as such.
