As people, we are drawn to one another and communicate with each other in a variety of capacities. My students struggle with basic communication like wants and needs, as well as what they like and do not like. Breaking this communication barrier with my students is essential for their growth. Technology is a way my students have shown great strength and it is important that I include this into my instruction. Adding an iPad to our classroom will help me to communicate with my students. I will be able to meet my students at their levels and then make growth. My students will use the IPad to strengthen their ability to touch and select answers, work on writing skills in various apps, works with applications that read to them and ask follow-up questions, and my staff of Paraprofessionals can use the IPad for effective assessments of the students. I have researched many different applications that can be beneficial for my students. Please help me to help them.
