Due to growing class sizes and more interest in studying Photography and Media Arts, my students need scanners!
The funding of this project will offer our photography and media arts students the opportunity to experiment with digital artmaking on an entirely new level, using new flatbed scanners.
This additional equipment will allow more students to fully understand media arts, digital photography and all the creative nuances associated with each.
These creative, talented and motivated students deserve the opportunity to explore additional ways that technology can play a role in art making. The additional scanners will allow students the time to complete larger more advanced assignments. Right now my students are working in large groups (often five or more) to create mixed media and digital art using scanners. They are doing great work and love working together but how great would it be to one day have a scanner for each student to use and explore with each class period?
