Headphones have become an extremely important resource in our classroom! Missing out on over a year of in-person learning has caused gaps in literacy for our kids. To combat this learning loss, students have been placed on individualized learning paths to improve their literacy skills and help them better access grade-level content. In order to successfully access this their paths in this program, students must be using headphones to listen to instructions and engage in self-paced lessons. All students should walk into a classroom knowing they will have the proper materials to learn with. My goal is to make sure that my students have equal opportunities to benefit from this program and grow their skills in the areas of: comprehension, word study, and grammar. Right now, our classroom only has a small number of headphones to go around and many students are unable to bring in their own. This donation of 27 sets of headphones to our classroom will work as a vehicle for all students to consistently show growth with literacy.
