There is a lot of movement and choices in kindergarten so flexible seating would be wonderful in my classroom. While learning in stations, the students will be allowed to sit at a variety of seating arrangements. Some will choose to sit at a table while others may sit on the floor while doing their work. The flexible seating will not only be used during station times, but also during shared reading at the carpet while reading big books. Big books are so important in kindergarten for fluency and exposure to large print. We can't wait to have more big books in the classroom library to use during shared reading and stations.
