My kindergarten students are working hard to learn to read. For many of them, this is their first exposure to books. In Readers Workshop, students are working on improving their stamina and becoming independent readers. In order to do so, students need continued motivation and choice during reading time. These flexible seating options will help to build enthusiasm for reading, motivation to increase stamina, and encourage continued progress, and will make my students more independent readers. Students will love to choose their independent reading spots with these wobble cushions, and it will help to keep all learners engaged. These wobble cushions will be an incredible asset to our reading block.
