Having the play kitchen will allow my students to develop many age appropriate developmental skills. This new space will serve several students each day which will allow them to engage in creative play, social skills development and demonstrate confidence through role play. Role playing allows students to exhibit real life situations were they can gain a deeper understanding of people and how they live. It will also be a way to enrich our creative curriculum units such as community helpers and nutrition. Students will develop fine motor skills, classifying and spatial awareness. We will also discuss the importance of using realistic equipment safely and carefully with an adult.

About my class
