My students have a variety of needs that do not always allow for traditional classroom seating to positively impact learning. Many of my students choose to work around the room (typically on the floor) and as their teacher, I aim to to help support their success When students are given a choice in the learning process, they are more engaged in what they need to learn. I am wrapping up my first year of teaching and have a clear direction in how I envision my classroom space to be set up. Flexible seating will aid my classroom to becoming a learning space that compliments the community atmosphere I create with my students.
