Having more items to use during our Play Planning activity will bring more opportunities for the students to pretend play and stay in character! These items will also help with applying daily activities into their routine and teach them how they can help others in the world around them. One example would be using cleaning items to "clean the house". Pretending to vacuum and sweep will teach the students how to complete household chores and how they can help around their home. Second, having toy phones, TVs, and computers will give the students the chance to pretend play while also learning how to correctly play with these items in the real world. By providing these items, you are providing the opportunity for the children to learn through their play and help them grow each and every day!
