Picture students coaching and leading other students, not just on the lesson of the day, but working through a tough moment using a learned mindfulness technique. "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf." -Jon Kabat-Zinn Mindfulness cushions will be used to teach my students mindfulness activities in the classroom. At times my sophomores can find letting go challenging. I'd like to teach my kids some mindfulness strategies that will allow them to refocus and reclaim their learning. The cushions will also serve as seats in our flex learning space. Most of my students prefer soft seating choices over traditional desks. People learn and work in many different environments today. These cushions will give my students options.
