I work in a classroom with students with special needs. We work on basic academic and life skills. Many of my special education students are nonverbal. We have worked very hard this year on providing communication devices for them to express basic wants and needs. They have made amazing progress and now they are ready for higher level technology. Apple iPads, along with augmentative and alternative communication programs, will allow their voices to be heard! They have so many things to say and share with the world that is locked inside of them. With these iPads, my students will be able to share their academic knowledge, ask for help and let us know what they want or need.
