According to numerous peer-reviewed research articles flexible seating elevated student engagement! These flexible seating options will help get my students out of uncomfortable chairs where they will have the opportunity to choose their own seat based on their preference which will help them learn! Each child learns in different ways and has different ways of being comfortable so the standard chair is not for every child. It is hard to focus, let alone learn, in an environment that is not comfortable. I have one flexible seating option in my room now and the students love the opportunity to use the seats. I see that the students in the flexible seating enjoy their time in the classroom and learn better!
