Inner city students are often given texts that are less than rigorous. I believe that they will rise to the challenge. Encouraging a love of Shakespeare and the tools to decipher difficult texts at an early age help ensure their future educational strength. I have taught Shakespeare in other inner city schools to great success. If students learn to read Shakespeare, they gain the confidence to tackle future challenges. Additionally, there is something delightful to hear 13 year olds shouting lines from Shakespeare through the hallways rather than the normal adolescent communication. They relate to the relationships from the play in their own development, while still loving the childlike magic of the "Dream "
