Phonics centers is another avenue to enhance students' learning. It is so important that they have many modalities for building a foundation for reading. When students have the opportunity for hands-on instruction, with practice, they are more likely to retain knowledge. Kindergarten is a crucial time to build those skills needed to be successful readers. The phonics games will be an awesome addition to the classroom. They will be used in centers that will be differentiated according to the student needs. The iPad will be utilized in a center as well, for individualized practice on emerging skills. It will also be used for tracking class dojo points for behavior goals. Having a differentiated classroom to meet the needs of all students is a teacher's desire and motivation for a successful school year.
