My project will provide students with access to literacy both in the classroom and at home. My current classroom library does not have the appropriate books for children to learn to read at their own level. Learning to read in kindergarten is the foundation for the rest of their life. Many of my kindergarten students come from families that cannot afford to buy their children books. This funding would provide books that students could borrow from the classroom and read with their parents at home. Access to early childhood literacy is one of the leading determinants of reading success. Thank you for supporting my students' future!
