This collection of materials will offer my students valuable hands on activities that they can learn from and enjoy during days where weather prohibits us from going outside. Play Doh and claylike items will allow students with OT needs to strengthen their grasp while sharing in imaginative play. In addition, having materials like LEGOs and building materials will allow students to collaborate and build items from their imaginations. Many of my students do not have such items in their homes and this would allow them to play with hands on materials. Board games like Checkers, Connect Four and Trouble will allow students to work at using strategy during game play. These kinds of activities are new to my students and it would allow me the ability to teach them how to play these games and work with my students on a different level within the classroom.
