My students struggle with learning abstract math concepts like multiplication or division algorithms. They need concrete materials to work with for these tougher skills. They need manipulatives such as the hands-on regrouping kits to help them develop their conceptual understanding of multiplying or dividing larger numbers. The fraction multipliers will help them visualize and understand what happens when you multiply two fractions. Fractions are another abstract concept that requires a lot of time working with hands-on materials to develop a strong understanding of their meaning. The decimal operations kit, decimal blocks, and place value coins will help deepen their number sense. The snap and slide number bonds will help them learn to decompose and compose numbers, which helps them become flexible thinkers.
