Our school recently opened up a new building! We went from 3-5 to K-5! This was an amazing opportunity to really get to know our students from the start of their school career, but also gave us new challenges to work with. One challenge was starting off the year with Hurricane Florence. She left us with playground damage (which has since been fixed), no gym floor (still not fixed), six weeks out of school, and having to completely rethink budget and curriculum. Although it has been hard, I think we have been doing amazingly as a school. Unfortunately, my personal funds have been geared more towards fixing my house, and less on building my BRAND-NEW classroom! I am so lucky to have this opportunity to build up from scratch, and I hope with your help I can give my students now, and the ones in the future, a fun, educational, and welcoming classroom to learn in! These resources will help with ELA instruction, math instruction, standardized test prep, and during brain breaks/recess. I also love to have differentiated seating to give students a comfortable environment to work in. I have wobble stools already and am excited to add a couple of more options!
