Every day, my students ask if they can work under their desk, or around the room. I do not have many options to currently give them. With these seats, I can allow them to start in the flex seat on the floor. They would be closer to the front of the room, they would have a basket for their belongings, and a clipboard for their paper. I think my students would love feeling like a “grown-up” when they come to my room. Flexible seating is a growing topic in education, and I have witnessed it be successful. I want to provide my students with every opportunity I can to be their best selves. Providing them with alternative seating is definitely a step in the right direction.

About my class
