Lunch Time Game Room is a smaller setting for kids to eat lunch and socialize with peers. These students usually find a place to avoid the cafeteria which is loud and can be overwhelming. This social event gives these kids a place to enjoy hanging out with their peers, and enjoy they do! At our first Game Room, one young man said, “This is the most fun I’ve had all year!” Lunch Time Game Room is also a place for students across different social groups to spend positive time together. Sometimes I like to invite other students who are not in my target group, students who are are nice and enjoyable to be around, and it is joyful to see these kids from different social groups hanging out together! Yes, this event is to help my students, but it really helps everyone.
