These materials will help my students feel at home in their classroom. With a large rug, we will be able to comfortably gather every morning and afternoon to discuss plans, goals, and excitements from the day. The new seating options in the library will create a comfortable space for students to cozy up with their favorite book. Pencil pouches, mechanical pencils, and colored pencils will allow students to take their materials with them around the classroom. The new pencil sharpener will help students stay accountable for caring for their materials. I want to make my classroom a place where each student has the materials they need to learn in a way that best suits his or her needs. This will be my students' second year in this classroom, and through their input, it is becoming more and more of a space where they learn best! My students have a variety of learning styles. These materials will help make the classroom feel like their own. Students will be able to work in a way that keeps them engaged - whether that's laying on the carpet with a clipboard, sitting in the quiet library, or standing at their desk. My students are in need of materials that will allow them to work in a way that works for them.
