Everyone loves to be comfortable! Flexible seating allows students to take control of their learning environment and find a place in the classroom that is just right for them. While students are working independently, they will have different options of where they can work in the classroom, based on where they are the most comfortable. Students are not as motivated to learn, if they are not in a cozy environment. The items I have chosen will help me on my path to create flexible seating for a better learning environment for my students. The donut ball will be used for a low seating option for students. These will be beneficial for students who would like to wiggle and bounce while they are working. The tall table and chairs will let students have a place to work that is different from a traditional desk. If they choose, students can even stand and do their work in this area. I have witnessed how amazing flexible seating can affect a student's learning and comfort level in the classroom. It becomes more like a home that we share, as a family.
