I am requesting funding for books and other supplies to help me foster the educational, career and social/emotional development of students throughout their academic careers. My goal is to support students in reaching their full academic potential and enjoy a positive school experience. I work with students, parents, and fellow staff members to help students receive the support needed to be successful. As the Character Education teacher, I meet with all the students in our building in a whole class format, some students individually, and in small groups. I teach students various coping strategies, skills, and methods to handle various challenges. If my project is funded, our entire student body will benefit from the valuable lessons taught in the warm and humorous stories. The books in the set will contribute to self-descipline, good decision-making and high self-esteem. These resources will be a big help and a welcomed addition to my character education program.
