The kids in Room 212 love literacy. Creating our own books gives us an authentic purpose for doing lots of reading and writing! We will read, research, write, design and our own books. Reading and writing go hand in hand, this project will inspire us to practice and improve both of these important literacy skills! We will also be able to share our wonderful stories with our entire school and community! When our student-made books are finished, we will celebrate with a special "author's tea", inviting our family and friends into our classroom. Readers are Writers and Writers are Readers!

About my class
