I teach Health to middle school age children. I inform them about real world consequences of unhealthy living and the importance of being aware of the medical and chemical factors in today's society. In my class, we do research and create projects to give my students a hands-on approach to retain information that will be useful for the rest of their lives. I have taught them how to read nutrition labels and how to make healthy choices for them and for their families. My students have created large scale posters with nutrition facts to educate their community. These materials will help my students continue to learn through research and projects.
