A single student can spend hours playing with a hunk of clay for hours on end. Using their cognitive skills, motor skills, as well as creativity, makes pottery the perfect activity for young minds. By donating to this project, you will be benefiting many young students with the amazing art that is ceramics. I work with many special needs students. These students struggle in their regular education classes and many times art is somewhere that their disabilities don't distract from their abilities. Ceramics has multiple benefits, including soothing hyperactive students, improving creativity, improving motor skills, enhancing sensory development, boosting self esteem, as well as learning problem solving techniques in a safe environment.

About my class
