Giving students choice is essential for capturing reluctant readers. I would like to build a library that provides my students with a plethora of choice. Creating a classroom library of varied genres is essential when trying to peak the interest of every student. My goal with this project is to have offerings for all of my students even those students that begin the year saying "I hate reading!" I have taught social studies for several years and have a wonderful library of content specific non-fiction, but my library is incredibly lacking in other options. I am looking to add fiction choices that will appeal to all students.
