My students enjoy hands-on learning and healthy competition. They seem to do their best learning when they are able to work cooperatively with their peers. Peer-to-peer interaction is key in my classroom and allows everyone to learn. My students often ask me, "Miss, when am I going to use this in the real world?" and my hope is that these games will help connect my 90 minute math class to their everyday life. In my project I have included both the Game of Life and Monopoly. These games will give my students a chance to practice the concepts, ideas, and vocabulary that we have learned in the classroom in a more interactive way.
