Flexible seating has been shown to improve student achievement. As students have the opportunity to choose where to work, they have a level of autonomy that encourages them to keep improving. The variety of seating options that I have chosen will provide ample opportunities for my students to learn what works best for them and the tables that my students are already using, allows them to stand while working. Studies have shown that students work best when they are moving and engaged. Being able to move around during the school day creates an environment where students are engaged and motivated. Flexible seating allows for movement and the development of decision-making skills in a safe environment.
