Providing my students with options for how they sit in the classroom will cater to their unique learning styles and increase lesson engagement as well as productivity. Allowing the students to feel comfortable in their learning environment will help them stay on task and retain more information. Some options I wish to include are stability balls, beanbag chairs, standing tables, and lap desks. Students will be able to choose daily what they want, and will have an opportunity to use all the different seating materials. By offering these different seating options, students will feel empowered and more comfortable in their learning environment encouraging them to be on task and more productive during lessons and individual work time.
