Our school library was recently updated with new books. I was very excited to see all the new book coming to the library for our students. With new books, I decided to request funding to further enhance my students' experience when they visit the library. Being a library teacher for the entire school is challenging and fun, therefore I have to make certain I have resources for all grade levels I teach and service. I am requesting STEM and additional literacy resources for my students. The LEGO Classic Large Creative Brick Set and Base plates will benefit all my students. They can use the Legos to create characters they read about in books. The LARGE 800 Piece Straws Builders Construction Building Toy - Giant Pack with Special Connectors will benefit my younger students. They can practice their fine motor and critical thinking skills. The Whirligig STEM Toys for Girls & Boys Building Blocks Creative Construction Educational Engineering Set will benefit my older students who want to build and create advance structures. They get to work on their critical thinking skill, which will help them become better readers. Two sets of See-Me Privacy Partitions will help students stay on task when they are writing. The Letter Crayons Word Building Center will benefit my kindergarten students who struggle with phonics. The BAZIC Standard Size Polka Dot Clipboards and Trade Quest Plastic Clipboards will be used when we are completing writing assignments on the rug. We have a CD read along center in the library, therefore, I am requesting Amelia Bedelia Read-Along, Happy Graduation! Read-Along, Puppy Mudge Takes a Bath Read-Along books and CDs so my students can listen to stories in the library. The Seville Classics 10-Drawer Organizer Cart will help me keep my books, CDs and STEM games organized.
