With board games we would have an alternative and fun way to add to my student's learning. Students have fun while they learn math, socialization, and life skills with competing with their peers and learning to share and learn how to cope with winning or losing. My Special Education classroom helps students succeed in their regular education classroom. They apply what they have learned in my classroom to their regular education classroom. They have a sense of confidence, understanding and knowledge of what they have learned in math and reading. Students work hard to have free time as an incentive. Free time options would include learning games and comfy floor seats. Bean bag chairs are comfy to sit on while reading or working on their chrome books. Flexible seating and location allows students to take charge of their learning anywhere in the classroom and feel comfortable with their choice.
