The carpet and alternative seating that I requesting for my students will make the classroom feel cozy and inviting. I know exactly where everything will go. The carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and will used as a gathering place for for discussions and mini lessons. The stools will be used for guided reading and and small group instruction. The flexible seating will give my students a sense of ownership and enabled them to become invested in their own education. My students need options for comfortable and alternative seating during reading workshop and guided reading to help them stay on task and engaged in the reading lesson.
