Our PreK- 2nd grade students LOVE legos! They love building, manipulating, counting, sorting, classifying and most importantly creating/ learning with them! Can I make the lego tower as tall as you? Can I make the lego house as big as the table? Are questions heard every day. Our students are not only learning through their play experiences with legos, but they are building self-confidence! With the items requested we will put together a lego wall and students will be able to build in a way they have not been able to previously. The lego wall will provide a vertical space for building, which gives a totally different perspective than building from a horizontal space, which is what most lego activities are associated with. Legos give students in both group settings and individually opportunities to develop social skills, problem solving skills and planning skills. Please help us get the supplies we need to make a lego wall in our classroom so the lego learning can continue and grow!
