We will use these materials in guided reading groups. We are implementing Jan Richardson's The Next Steps Forward in Guided Reading. These magnetic trays will help our students to be able to build words with magnetic letters and write the words, all while staying organized. This will increase student engagement and learning. Students will increase phonemic awareness, sight words, and phonics skills all while working directly with the teacher in a small group setting. We are in need of a magnetic letter set and whiteboards to help us reach our overall goal of increasing reading proficiency for all of our students.

About my class
