My students need laptops as our math curriculum and resources are mainly online. In addition, they have to go on a district-wide program for reading and math daily in order to enhance their learning skills. The district requires students to utilize math and science resources, assessments and activities in class and at home but because we are very limited in classroom computers, my students are not able to access these programs as often as they should, which puts them at a disadvantage from other students. This laptop will help make sure that the students have access to the district-wide math program in order to achieve learning gains and excel in the classroom. I will be able to rotate the students on the laptops and they will be able to experience what it is like to use a laptop. These students deserve a fair chance at success and I am determined to make sure they get it.
