I use music frequently in class to engage students learning. I always try to incorporate a song that fits the lesson or topic I'm covering. Everyone loves music and when you bring that into the classroom it just enhances the topic or subject matter. I also have this thing called "Fun Song Friday" so every Friday for the first 10 minutes of class I allow students to be the DJ and select music that relates to any topic we have covered that week. This really helps students creativity and critial thinking. It also shows their knowledge of a topic and what they have learned.
