I have requested supplies that can be shared with students who may experience hardships at home. By helping students in this way, the school will assist the students in building self-confidence. When working with these students, the school can build a positive rapport with them. Relationship building helps students emotionally and that can translate into higher success rates educationally. With this donation, students will feel comfortable coming to the office to have their concerns and hygiene needs meet. Certain students rely solely on the school for these products. After interacting with these students for a period of time, I have seen a difference in their attitude and an increase in confidence. This transformation is priceless. When students' hygiene needs are met, they feel more comfortable around peers. This makes the school environment less stressful for them, which makes it easier to focus on their teacher and their learning.
