Flexible seating will make a difference in my students learning because it will help them stay comfortable throughout the lesson. Many of my students need a fidget or need some type of stimuli to help them focus on the lesson. Flexible seating, such as a balance ball, can help them focus by simply having the ability to lightly bounce during the lesson without causing any distractions. I will use flexible seating in my classroom library, so it can be seen as a comfortable space and my students can be encouraged to read. I will also use the different seats during the lesson when students advocate for themselves and demonstrate that a different seat will help them work better. They can also be used as a positive reward when students have completed their work and have earned seating in a "fun seat" to work on early finisher work or exit tickets.
