These resources will help students be successful in multiple NGSS Standards. The most common would be 3-5-ETS1-1, 3-5-ETS1-2, and 3-5-ETS1-3. During the COVID closures, students were unable to get into their science classroom to use the STEAM materials that help them learn cooperation, critical thinking, problem solving and perseverance. Most of my three to five grade students have expressed in CCSD surveys that if they do not know the answer right away, or feel like their answer is not right, they will not participate. Using these materials could help them productively and increase engagement. STEAM teaches so many important skills under the guise of fun projects. Using these resources will help with the new Computer Science standards, as well as go more hands-on with the Science standards.
