I am an extended reach teacher for CCSD. It is a special position that extends my class size to take in more students that aren’t thriving as expected. It’s my job to fix those gaps. This is my fifth year in this challenging position. Having such a large class size is draining me financially. My students love imaginative play, role playing, acting and anything hands on. They truly love to learn and I’d like to provide them with all of the opportunities smaller classrooms get to experience. I teach project based learning and need funding for our Harry Potter Unit and Readers Theater Center. I would love a class set of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for our year long, role~playing, literacy unit. In addition, I’m asking for owl pellets so my students can see what their “pet owls,” ate for dinner. I am asking for slime kits for a science “potions,” lesson on Polymers. The paint materials and hot glue are for creative wand construction (props). The requested costumes and puppets are for our Readers Theater Center. Kids love to read when it’s imaginative and fun. Thank you for your support. Experiences like these leave positive marks inside of our children forever.
