Much of my classroom instruction is done via small group or one-on-one. This way, I am able to highly differentiate and individualize what my students are working on, as well as work to master their IEP goals. Though this is the best way for my students to learn, it can become very difficult due to distractions. My students can become highly distracted by what is going on around them, certain sounds they hear, what is happening outside the window, and by what others students are doing in the classroom. Having these room dividers would greatly enhance my students' ability to focus on their lessons, by limiting the everyday distractions that may occur in the classroom. By cutting down on the distractions, my students have a higher chance of mastering content specific to their IEP's, and their individual needs.
