We would like to create an outdoor wellness area that will include different workout machines that can be used by students, faculty, and staff. This area will help promote lifetime fitness for people of all ages and abilities. This wellness area will impact the school community by allowing students and faculty the opportunity to participate in lifetime fitness. The wellness area will meet Georgia Performance Standards in the areas of health and physical education promoting lifetime fitness. The wellness area can be used by students of all abilities and ages starting with young adults. The area would appeal to faculty and students as there is not one of its kind in the local area. The wellness area will include equipment that is innovative in that it can adapt to one’s own body strength. This area provides the opportunity for a full body workout using one’s own body strength instead of weighted equipment in the beautiful north GA mountains.
