My students often fidget and squirm sometimes without even realizing. All of my students, both kinders and fourth graders, love being able to choose where they sit in the room and how they complete their work. Adding a variety of seating will add a sense of excitement and ownership to the classroom which in turn generates a classroom full of motivated students who want to succeed. They need an appropriate outlet to move around while staying focused on the work in front of them. Whether it's learning how to correctly write the letters of the alphabet or how to paraphrase poetry, students will be sitting on the wobble cushions or the comfy floor chairs to enhance their concentration, and therefore their educations.
