People today can no longer hide behind the idea that concepts such as "global warming" are just "some scientists'" theories....We need students to be able to read science information with an analytical mind, interpret data and apply results. Having quality access to current scientific research is crucial! Young adults who are able to identify problems and seek solutions, who can advocate for change and put those changes in action and who are knowledgeable about the implications that scientific data is not "born" - it is taught - and guided how to use those skills through current research and activities. Scholastic's Science World allows students to see how scientists are analyzing data in the here and now to create solutions that will affect them for years to come.
