My students need accommodations in the classroom to meet the ever-changing academic demands in the classroom. Flexible seating is a research-based approach to accommodating the needs of students with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). My students are brilliant and amazing young people who have such a great love for learning. They just need a bit of extra help to access the curriculum. Your donation will help create an incredible learning environment that gives students the flexibility that they need. Flexible seating not only accommodates for the needs of students with ADHD but also provides a choice for other students as well. The choice of seating helps students with oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) to feel in control so that they can open their hearts and minds to learning. This will especially help during activities like reading when my struggling readers have an increased need for calming activities such as fidgeting. I truly appreciate your donation to my project and I know my students will as well.
